Brides Against Breast Cancer

Local brides-to-be will have an opportunity to find their dream gowns while making wishes come true for metastatic breast cancer patients.


The charity wedding gown sale features hundreds of beautiful gowns donated by manufacturers, designers, retailers and individuals. Specific gown prices range from $199 an...d up, including hundreds of brand name and designer gowns valued up to $8,000. Tiaras, veils, crinolines and other accessories will also be offered. Bridal gown donations will also be accepted for gowns 2006 and newer.

What's Going On...Earth Hour March 27th

Earth Hour will take place on the 27^th March at 8.30 pm local time. People are encouraged to take just sixty off from using their lights and spend this time outside with family and friends. This has been running for two years now and every year the movement gets larger, this year’s target is one billion people. Just turn the lights off and take an hour off, imagine the result is everyone did that?

What's going on... First Fridays on Abbot Kinney

If you're in Los Angeles during the first week of the month, be sure to check out First Fridays on Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Located in the heart of Venice just a few blocks from the beach, you'll find a hip, beach community where you can shop, check out great art, eat fantastic food, listen to dj's spin an eclectic mix of tunes and discover upcoming bands all in one night. Running from 6-10 pm on the first Friday of every month, you'll be welcomed by a hodge-podge of artists, hippies, yuppies, and locals. It makes for a great date night or girls night out!
