Fashion Fridays: Peaches and Cream

The peaches and cream color palette is romantic and mixes contemporary and traditional pieces. The scalloped theme carries through most of the collection. Just like a sweet peach!

What I like...Ribboned Mirrors

While browsing Poppy Talk I saw these one-of-a-kind mirrors created by Ashley Rush of Rowan's Room. Each one is lovingly handcrafted from an antique cabinet door (which makes this an eco-friendly item). Most of these doors are over 100 years old, and they reflect those years through their unique beauty.

Here's an idea of how to display these unique mirrors.

Succulent Succulents

Images Via: Lovely Morning, Beth Beljon, With this Ring, Housemartin
Succulents make the perfect eco-friendly option for flowers. They don't take much water and can be replanted after your wedding, so nothing is wasted. And there's something so romantic in the idea that you can walk into your garden and be reminded of your special day.
Succulents come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors.  They are a perfect choice in summer heat, but are great in the fall and winter too, when many flowers are out of season.

Fashion Fridays: Supersize Sunglasses

Happy fashion Friday to you!

Don't think you can pull these off?  Here's a little help in choosing which ones are right for you. Go the opposite of your face shape: rectangle for a round face and round shades for an angular face.  Unleash your inner starlet with some glamorous, oversized sunglasses!

Happy Cinco De Mayo

Since it's Cinco De Mayo, I thought I would give you some inspiration for a Mexican wedding. Bright colors, festive music and spicy food create the setting for a hot Latin night! Decorate with Mexican paper flags, paper flowers, and pinatas.  The pinatas can be filled with fun goodies that serve as your guest favors.  Mariachis playing for the cocktail and traditional Mexican folk dancers for entertainment. Food should be traditional with a creative twist. Taco bar, mini green tamales, and, for dessert, tres leche cake and Mexican wedding cookies.  Ole!

Aah Cervezas...eco friendly?

Aah a cold cerveza (beer) and margarita's are a must for tomorrow's Cinco De Mayo celebration.  Grab these fun recycled tumblers from Green Glass Co.  Created from the bottom of the popular Mexican Sol beer bottle.

Green Glass Co is an eco-friendly company that takes discarded beer and wine bottles and adds a twist, making them into recycled glassware.
