Hello Kitty Is All Grown Up

I've always loved Hello Kitty, so how fantastic that Hello Kitty has it's own wines! Check out the Pink Kitty cocktail, yum!

Here are some tasting notes for the four types:

Hello Kitty Sparkling Brut Rosé - A deep reddish pink sparkling rose made from 100% Pinot Noir that has a frothy mousse as well as a pretty nose of rose petal and red currant scents.

Hello Kitty Sparkling "Sweet Pink" (Half Size) - This semi-sweet sparkler sports a pale pink hue and has very delicate bubbles.

2008 Hello Kitty Angel White - This is a fresh, very "blanc" white wine made entirely from Pinot Noir free run juice.

2006 Hello Kitty Devil Red - Garnet red with brickish highlights, this is a classically rendered Pinot Noir that presents a seductive bouquet of wild flowers and forest aromas.

Complete tasting and technical notes for each wine type at HelloKittyWine.com.

Fashion Fridays: Oh Betty Draper, You're Mad

Betty Draper's character in MAD MEN (played by actress, January Jones) makes for some great television! She's impeccably stylish, but what a hot mess, with a flawless exterior that masks a tortured interior. Most modern women find Betty's character totally unrecognizable today (her character is the one I least identify with, of course!), but you can't help but feel sympathy, frustration, and pity for this woman trapped in suburbia. We've come a long way, baby!

Mad Men Fashion: Peggy Olson Twist

Peggy Olson's (Elizabeth Moss) is a junior copywriter at Sterling Copper. Once a bit of an odd duck, Peggy's new found self confidence makes you want to shout "you go girl". Her own office with a window, smoking marijuana, my gosh what's next burning her bra? That's not till seasons 7, but I can't wait!

This week fashion inspiration is a farewell to the old Peggy. No more little girl with a ponytail, even though I have to admit I'll miss her sweater's a bit.

Fashion Friday...Joan Holloway Drives Men Mad

To celebrate the third season of Mad Men, I'll be creating inspiration boards based on my favorite female characters. This week's inspiration is the saucy, sex kitten Joan Holloway (Christina Hendricks), the office manager who turns men's heads. Her form-fitting dresses emphasize Joan's curvaceous figure. She's a force to be reckoned with in the office, and in my opinion is the sexiest woman on television.

Joan's look: Simple silhouettes that emphasize the waist but never show cleavage.
